Moved

Last weekend many of us were once again moved by the images and messages throughout the Good Friday, Easter weekend. Over 1000 people gathered at Mark Isfeld High School for the Good Friday community service and then again CPC was overflowing with great celebration on Resurrection morning. (Easter Sunday)

In what ways were you moved in your heart by the Community Good Friday service? What stirred you? What made you think? What is it about "Christ Is Risen" that inspires you in your day to day living?

Please feel free to respond to any of these questions or other related thoughts.

  1. I found the service very affirming in many ways. Unlike the last couple of years, this year it was more contemplative, more of a Good Friday service to me than a celebratory Resurrection Sunday one. Not to say that we shouldn't celebrate on Good Friday, that isn't what I mean and I'm not sure it comes across properly here. The gift of Jesus is just so overwhelming, his very life was given for me, for you, and the reflective nature of the service was just the right tone to me. Plus it was wonderful to see so many different pastors participating and especially great to see Father Jim there this year - praises to the Great Physician indeed!
